DigiLamon Travel Review
This review is based on my actual stay experience at Rambler Hotel Hong Kong, booked via Trip.com, with a late-night arrival that taught me one very important lesson: double-check which Rambler hotel you booked.

Booking & Arrival: Smooth… Until the Rambler Confusion

We booked our stay through Trip.com, and overall, the booking process itself was smooth and straightforward. We also arranged airport transfer via Trip.com, which made things much easier after a long flight.
From the airport:
- We booked a private car via Trip.com
- Travel time was fast and efficient
- We arrived at the hotel area around 11:00 PM
So far, everything was going well.
Then came the confusing part.
Important Reality: There Are TWO Rambler Hotels Side by Side
Here’s the key thing you must know before staying here:
There are two separate hotels:
They are literally beside each other, but they are not the same hotel.
At almost midnight, tired and carrying luggage, we had to double-check which Rambler we actually booked. The buildings look similar, the names are similar, and if you’re not paying attention, it’s very easy to walk into the wrong lobby.
This isn’t a dealbreaker — but it requires patience, especially if you arrive late at night.
Check-In Experience: Efficient but Pay Attention
Once we confirmed the correct hotel, the check-in process itself was fast and professional.
- Front desk staff were efficient
- Transactions were straightforward
- No unnecessary delays once we were at the right lobby
The confusion wasn’t caused by staff — it was purely due to the two Rambler hotels sharing the same area.
Tip from experience:
📍 Always confirm the exact hotel name on your Trip.com booking before arrival.
Room Experience: Typical Hong Kong Size
The room was very Hong Kong-standard — meaning compact.
If you’re coming from Southeast Asia, this will feel small. But if you’ve stayed in Hong Kong before, it’s exactly what you expect.
What the Room Was Like
- Clean bed and linens
- Functional layout
- Small but usable bathroom
- Air-conditioning works well
- Enough space for essentials, not much more
It’s not a hotel where you hang out in the room — it’s a place to sleep, rest, and recharge after exploring the city.
Late-Night Arrival Reality Check
Arriving at 11 PM added to the confusion factor. When you’re tired, everything feels more complicated.
What helped:
- Calm front desk staff
- Clear booking details on Trip.com
- Taking a few minutes to re-check confirmation emails
Once settled, the stay felt normal and stress-free.
Location & Accessibility
The Rambler hotels are located in Tsing Yi, which is not in central Hong Kong but still accessible.
- Easy access via transport
- Quieter compared to central districts
- Good for budget-conscious travelers
Just don’t expect to step out into a busy tourist area — this is more of a practical stay location.
Who I Think Rambler Hotel Is Best For

✔ Pack light if possible
✔ Manage expectations about room size
This will save you stress — trust me.

Final Verdict
My experience at Rambler Hotel Hong Kong was generally positive, but it comes with an important warning: know exactly which Rambler hotel you booked. The late-night arrival made this detail more critical than expected.
If you’re prepared, patient, and clear on your booking details, Rambler Hotel is a practical and affordable option in Hong Kong. Just don’t rush the arrival process — especially at night.
