The name wasn’t something I created for branding—it grew naturally from who I am and how I work. “Jin” comes from my real name, Jean, and “Grey” represents the unconventional way I approach SEO and digital problem-solving. I’ve always been the kind of person who sits between extremes—creative yet analytical, strategic yet flexible, ethical yet realistic. Grey Hat SEO fit me perfectly, so the name stayed.
I call myself the Chief Everything Officer, not because it sounds impressive, but because it’s the most honest title for the life I’ve lived as a solopreneur. I’ve built businesses from scratch, often with nothing more than a laptop, determination, and a deep belief that skills—not circumstances—define your future. I think, create, optimize, execute, and lead. Some days I’m the strategist. Some days I’m the writer. Some days I’m the entire team. And I love every part of it.
For more than 17 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of SEO, digital marketing, analytics, content systems, and online business development. What Drives Me
I’ve been a breadwinner for over 22 years, and that responsibility shaped the core of who I am. It taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of building skills that open doors. I’ve never had the luxury of giving up. Every challenge, every obstacle, every late-night grind helped me grow into the person I needed to be.
Everything I teach comes from lived experience—not theories, not guesses. I’ve made mistakes, failed at ideas, restarted, restructured, and rebuilt. Over time, I turned every lesson into systems, methods, and strategies that others can now learn from. My eBooks and resources exist so beginners can skip the long, painful years of trial and error.
Life as a Digital Nomad
Outside of work, I travel across Asia with my husband Kenn, living a lifestyle we once only dreamed of. We explore cities, taste local food, try hidden restaurants, stay in unique hotels, and get lost in unfamiliar places. We work from cafés, quiet corners, coworking spaces, or wherever our laptops fit.
Traveling keeps me grounded, curious, and inspired. It’s a reminder that life can be designed—not just endured—when you have digital skills and the courage to use them.
